A few hopefully interesting tidbits of administrative trivia about the Floater blog, float trips, etc.

• I’m syndicating the #floatrip hashtag from Twitter, which is currently in use in the discussion for an annual Memorial Day Float Trip in Tahlequah, Oklahoma on the Illinois River. That trip, which started with some college friends and has come to include a variety of bloggers and friends coming from Missouri, Oklahoma, Texas, Idaho, Mississippi and other parts, was the original inspiration for this site.
• I’ll be live Blogging and Vlogging the upcoming Memorial Day Float Trip. Subject to AT&T wireless connection in the valleys of the river, that *will* include video transmitted live from the river. (I have an upgrade available on my cell phone, so I’m going to risk taking the current Samsung Blackjack on the river in a clear waterproof camera bag.) The videos and posts will on a Tumblr microblog and syndicated here.
• Site redesign is imminent. This is partially due to the syndicating of the Tweets, which are too short to work well with the current design.
