This is Sunny, the Floater mascot. As you can tell, Sunny is an experienced floater and quite a stylish fellow. He’s 5 years old and this picture was taken on his third Memorial Day float trip.
He went on his first when he was 12 weeks old and road a sit-on-top kayak with me. That first time, he rode for about 20 minutes, looking down into the water before he decided it was time to jump right on.
This year, he did the raft ride and slept back at camp on kayaking day. On rafting day, Sunny waded the shallow spots and swam a couple of times, then took an almost two hour nap in the floor of the raft.
Sunny recommends a blue hat and a red harness as essential float trip clothing. He may be worth listening to as he is always the hit with the two-legged girls and seems to do pretty well with the four legged ladies as well.
